Rare Jackie Gleason Ralph Kramden Honeymooners Rushton Co. Vinyl & Cloth Doll
RARE JACKIE GLEASON RALPH KRAMDEN HONEYMOONERS RUSHTON CO. VINYL & CLOTH DOLL. This listing is for a extremely rare Jackie Gleason, Ralph Kramden Character Doll made by THE RUSHTON COMPANY. The Head, Hands and Shoes are made of a soft plastic, which I believe to be vinyl and the Ralph Kramden Doll has a stuffed cloth body. The eyes look hand painted. The Ralph Kramden Doll has his original Jacket but his Shirt and Pants are missing. The Jacket is made from a twill and felt fabric. The Ralph Kramden Doll measures about 18 inches tall. On the back of his neck he is marked THE RUSHTON CO. The Hands are also stamped, but you cant see the whole mark. The Ralph Kramden Doll also has a tag on his leg that reads The RUSHTON COMPANY ATLANTA GA. On one side and A RUSHTON STAR CREATION on the other. The Ralph Kramden Doll is in O. Cosmetic condition, but does have condition problems. Ive included 45 large and close-up photos for you to look at to help you judge condition. The stitching looks good, but there are scuffs and paint loss in his hair, brows and on especially on his shoes. Im not sure about this, but it looks as if someone extended his sideburns and the hair behind his ears with a black marker. Again, Im not sure because I could not find another Ralph Kramden Doll to compare it to. Back to condition, there is also what looks like a black marker type spot on the left side of his neck under his ear, a smaller one above his ear and another black mark on his left hand. There is a tiny hole in the fabric on his chest and also a larger thin spot in the fabric (check photos, the beginning of a hole). There are a few small holes in a couple of his fingers that look like they might have been air bubbles in the vinyl (not sure, check photos). Overall the doll looks like could use a cleaning. Parts of the Face, Hands and Fingers look dirty. I tried a light cleaning of the vinyl with a cloth and soapy water, but it didn’t do much so I stopped. Also, some areas of the fabric look a little discolored or lightly yellowed with age (check photos). The Jacket is also in O. I see a discolored line down the back (check photos), some areas of the fabric looks a little discolored or lightly yellowed with age (check photos) and there is also some wear to the felt in some areas and on the edges with loose and stray threads on the inside (check photos). I could try and describe every detail of the Doll, but what I have decided to do is just included a lot of pictures showing all different angles and parts with lots of close-ups, so please use my large photos to check condition for yourself and feel free to ask me about anything you feel I might of missed.
